History
In 1980 Jose Morales, a Mexican Immigrant and visionary came to the United States and saw the necessity of opening a center that operates 24 hours a day that would be available to assist those who suffer from the disease of alcoholism and substance abuse. Armed with the knowledge of the disease, his own experiences and the spiritual principles of Alcoholics Anonymous, Jose and a handful of other recovering alcoholics, begin the struggle to establish J24. In 1991 the founders of J24 rented a basement in Corona, Queens and the first incarnation of J24 was born. As a result of many years of hard work and dedication J24 was able to purchase a one family home in Corona were the same labor of love is still being done with the additional services, experience and capability.
